Dump Bailer

Description

Purpose

To spot or deposit acid / cement on or into downhole equipment.

Description

Dump Bailers are made up of 8 components:

1. Fishneck (Top Fill Sub)
2. Barrel
3. Shear Disc Sub
4. Shear Disc
5. Sleeve
6. Dart
7. Spring
8. Bottom Sub

Operation

Assemble dump bailer with fill sub elevated, fill with desired material through
slot in fill sub and hoist into lubricator.

Lower into wellbore to desired depth jar down to puncture shear disc and
release material.

Remove from wellbore.

Precautions

Ensure all connections are tight so as to prevent leakage. Inspection and maintenance of components will extend the life of the bailer, especially in corrosive environments.
